He has treated thousands of patients and has been named among Dallas’s best doctors. US News and World Report ranked him among the nation’s best plastic surgeons. He has appeared in media frequently, in Newsweek profile, on Oprah, the View and CNN, among others. His surgery is considered artistic in its rejuvenation and definition.
He became President of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Texas Plastic Surgeons and the Rhinoplasty Society. He chaired more than 150 plastic surgery symposia and became editor-in-chief of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, the most prestigious periodical on the subject.
Dr. Rod Rohrich authored over 1500 academic papers on his specialty, edited four textbooks and authored 30 textbook chapters.
He became affiliated with other local hospitals including Baylor University Hospital and Children’s Medical Center. His civic work included Board of Director positions on the March of Dimes, Save the Children/Dallas,and Dallas for Children.
Dr. Rod Rohrich was raised on a North Dakota ranch and received his undergraduate and graduate degrees with honors at North Dakota State and the University of North Dakota. He earned his medical degree with honors from Baylor and did his residencies at the University of Michigan, Massachusetts General and Oxford University.
He lives in Dallas with his wife, also a plastic surgeon.
