Eric Pulier is a well-known entrepreneur, author and philanthropist who currently resides in Los Angeles, California. He moved to the Los Angeles area in 1991 and founded People Do Things (PDT). It’s a company that helps to focus on health care, education and other topics through the use of technology. Digital Evolution was another company that he founded in 1994 and the company eventually combined with US Interactive LLC in 1998. Pulier was also the leading person to help build Starbright World. Starbright World helped focus its efforts on helping ill children all over the world connect with others who share the same illness, or are going through similar issues. They are able to connect using chat, through blogs and content postings.

Before Eric Pulier was part of multiple companies, he was born and raised in Teaneck, New Jersey. He had a profound interest in computers at a very young age and started programming them in fourth grade. By the time he was in high school, he had already started a database computer company. After high school, he attended Harvard University where he began studying English and American literature in 1984. He graduated with his degree and became an editor while working for the column The Harvard Crimson. He also took classes at a nearby school called MIT and eventually graduated magna cum laude in 1988.

Throughout his career, Pulier has owned and operated, as well we launched many successful companies. In 1997 he found himself selected by the Presidential Inaugural Committee to launch and carry out the Presidential Technology Exhibition in Washington D.C. It was called “The Bridge to the 21st Century.” Pulier is also responsible for many other ventures including but not limited to Akana, Media Platform and Desktone. He has written and co-authored many books as well.

Pulier also participates as an active donor to a few non-profit organizations and is a current member on the innovation board of the X-Prize Foundation. He also takes part in a camp that supports children with chronic illnesses called The Painted Turtle. He is also active in many other philanthropic organizations.
