Nearly 20 years ago, “Seinfeld” character George Costanza’s fiance met her death in an unusual way. Susan, who was played by actress Heidi Swedberg, was all set to marry George towards the end of the 7th show of the sitcom. However, thanks to George’s cheap nature, he bought very cheap envelops for their wedding invitations that turned out to be toxic. Susan’s cause of death was poisoning from licking too many toxic envelops. However, it turns out now that Susan may have actually met her demise another way.
According to the story on The Daily Mail, actor Jason Alexander, who played George Costanza, recently spoke out about her death on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show. The 55-year-old actor told Stern that the actress was actually killed off due to her lack of chemistry with the lead actors on the show.
Jason said that she was really nice however they could not make it work on screen reports Ivan Ong. Their comedic timing was all off, which actually worked for his character. Scenes where George was a little mean to his fiance came off as funnier than they should have, due to their mismatch. The ax came down for Susan however when she had several scenes with stars Jerry Seinfeld and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who also found her hard to work with. Creator Larry David then had her written off the show.
