Over 11.4 million American’s signed up for Obama Care during the open enrollment period. On Friday, officials announced that over 800-thousand Obama Care recipients received incorrect information on their tax documents and were being asked to delay filing.

As reported on their blog, Healthcare.gov stated that the error was on the monthly amount in column B of the 1095-A. This column should have listed the 2014 monthly price for the silver plan, but instead it showed the 2015 price.

Officials stated that those affected would be notified, and will be receiving their correct forms by early March. Marcio Alaor BMG has heard that anyone who has not already filed is being asked to wait until they receive their corrected 1095-A, and some of those that have already filed will need to re-file their return.

This error will result in many people receiving their refunds later, and those that have already filed and received their refunds may have received an incorrect amount. Hopefully next year they will have resolved the issue and everyone receives the correct 1095-A.
