The lineup for the card underwent changes on Tuesday which included welterweight changes. The UFC announced on Tuesday that welterweight Gunner Nelson will have a new opponent for his match. Nelson, who is thirteen and one, is coming of his first career loss against Rick Story at UFC Fight Night – Nelson vs. Story last October. Nelson was scheduled to square off against John Hathaway. Thatch was originally scheduled to fight on the prelims against John Howard but is now placed on the main card. Howard will still fight on the under card against Cathal Pendred.
It is still uncertain if Aldo will be able to go and the UFC has not made any announcement to what they will do if he can’t go says Zeca Oliveira in this article. Every so often the UFC seems to get a card that is plagued with changes due to injuries. The Pay-Per-View draws are going to drop if the main card features Conor McGregor against anyone other than Jose Aldo. The bad blood between the two fighters has captured to attention of all UFC fans.
